About Laurelin Paige:
THE PACT by Max Monroe
is LIVE NOW + FREE IN KINDLE UNLIMITED!
Blurb:
“I need a ride,” I said to a sexy stranger on a Harley.
Three hours later? A six-foot-tall Marilyn Monroe was officiating our Vegas wedding at the Happy Chapel.
But it’s not love—it’s business—a marriage pact made out of desperation so my career doesn’t go up in flames.
Sure, Flynn Winslow is a hot, broody, mysterious man that women all over the globe would sell their souls to land for real, but I have my eyes on the prize and our marriage arrangement will end in three months with no strings attached.
Right?
Or will it all go out the window when I have to move in with Mr. Mysterious and our fake marriage starts to feel remarkably real?
I wish it were as easy as telling myself, Do not fall in love with your fake husband, Daisy, but apparently, when feelings get involved, not everything that happens in Vegas knows how to stay in Vegas.

Aww, I loved this. The Pact is book two in the Winslow Brothers series and is Flynn and Daisy's book. Flynn is the mysterious, strong/silent type brother of Winnie from the Billionaire Bad Boys series and is one of four Winslow brothers. He is in Las Vegas for Jude's bachelor party when he meets Daisy and rescues her from a freak out she is having. Daisy is a Canadian with a job and career she really cares about in LA. She is in Vegas for a work meeting, when she finds out that she has acidentally let her Visa lapse and will be getting deported. She panics and runs and Flynn saves her. He offers to make a marriage pact with her to save her from being deported. They decide to get married while in Vegas. They have an instant connection and chemistry that is not at all fake. And In order to make their marriage look real, Daisy moves temporarily to New York to stay with Flynn. Lines start to blur and efforts to make the relationship seem real start to make it actually become real when Flynn and Daisy fall for each other.
I really enjoyed this book. I think it might be my new favorite Max Monroe book. It was the perfect blend of sweetness, sexiness and wittiness. Flynn was laid back, strong, silent and adored Daisy. Daisy was adorably anxious, somewhat innocent and easy to relate to. The story was low angst, an easy read, a good story, and there was no big fight or betrayal.
Overall, I enjoyed The Pact and I look forward to more from Max Monroe in the future!

Propositioning the Iron Wraiths’ money man seemed like a good idea at the time…
Diane Donner—recently divorced pillar of polite society—is craving danger. She’s tired of playing it safe and she knows just the sexy criminal motorcycle man to proposition for a good time. Problem is, she doesn’t actually know his name.
Jason “Repo” Doe never takes risks. So when the queen of local commerce walks into his club, looking to get risky and frisky, Jason knows the smartest thing to do is save himself a headache while saving the new divorcee from her worst impulses.
But then one thing leads to another, and the memory of just-one-night doesn’t feel like enough.
Theirs is a story with no future, because how can a dangerous criminal win (and keep) a queen?
‘Beard In Hiding’ is book #4.5 in the Winston Brothers series, is a full length contemporary romantic comedy about two lost souls in their 40s, and is a companion novel to the Winston Brothers and Solving for Pie series.
If you want to get the full immersive Green Valley world experience, I recommend reading ‘Truth or Beard,’ ‘Beard Science,’ ‘Engagement and Espionage,’ and ‘Marriage and Murder’ beforehand. ‘Beard In Hiding’ contains spoilers for these four books (in specific).

This was a good book. Beard in Hiding is Diane (Jennifer Winston's mother) and Repo/Jason (Jessica Winston's secret biological father)'s book. We got a glimpse of Diane and Jason's story from Jennifer's perspective in the first two books in the Solving for Pie series. This book now tells their relationship story from their own perspective. It was great to read their side of the story and see how they came to be together.
This was a good story and an easy read. It helped clear up some of the intricacies of the mystery in Marriage and Murder. Diane, a conservative business owner, and Jason, in the Iron Wrath motorcycle club, came off as complete opposites but were not really as different inside as they first thought. I thought they were really good together and for each other. I didn't feel a ton of chemistry between them, but I did feel their love. There is a lot of focus on Diane getting herself and her sexuality back after her divorce. Also, the book is focused on Diane and Jason's relationship progression, with the events from the Solving with Pie series going on in the background for most of the book, until everything comes to a head near the end. I was happy they got an HEA with each other, but I did want more closure on the murder situation. Hopefully that will come in the next Solving for Pie book.
Overall, I did enjoy Beard in Hiding and was happy for Jason and Diane. I would have loved an epilogue with a glimpse into their future. Still, I was happy to read their story and that Ms. Reid chose to give it to us. I look forward to more of whatever she comes up with in the future.

This was a pretty good read. Far from Bliss is book twelve in the Nights in Bliss series and is Michael, Ty and Lucy's book. Ty and Lucy grew up together as best friends in Bliss. Lucy has always crushed on Ty, and he on her, but there was a miscommunication and they never got together. She also has feelings for Michael. He is a former US Marshal now living in Bliss with a tragic past. Both men are ready to act on their feelings for Lucy and give a relationship a chance, and in true Bliss fashion, they decide to share her. They have quite a bit to tackle together. There is a threat from in the form of a rich tourist that won't take no for an answer from Lucy, Lucy has to overlook Ty's manwhore past, and Michael has to get over his tragic past and learn to open himself up to happiness and trust again. But once they work through all of their problems, the three of them are able to come out of it as a strong threesome.
I enjoyed this book. I liked Michael, Lucy and Ty and I was happy they got together and were able to have an HEA. I did think they lacked some in the chemistry department, so the book was not my very favorite Bliss book. Also, it felt a little long and slow at certain moments. But the story was pretty good. Overall, I did enjoy the book in general. I really love the Bliss series with it's kooky characters and fun threesomes. It is a great blend of drama, humor and sexiness. I am looking forward to more from Bliss and from Ms. Blake in the future!

Excerpt:
“In about five years,” he agreed, taking a swig from his bottle of beer. Because you could take the rock star to Paris and dress him in a three-piece suit, but he still wouldn’t be sipping champagne. Thank you very much.
“That’s the plan,” I said.
“And you do like your plans.”
The man was right about that. Some people could go through life flying by the seat of their pants. Content to not know what would happen next. I was not one of those people. I both knew and accepted this about myself. Know thyself and all that. Lists were my friends. Neatly ordered inventories of anything and everything going on in my life. Places to be. Things to do. Targets to be achieved at work. Planning was how I gave shape and context to my existence which in turn helped me live life to the fullest. Not that I didn’t mind taking a walk on the wild side now and then. I had woken up in Vegas married to a rock star, after all. But being organized was where I thrived. It was my happy place.
“I say we enjoy ourselves while we can.” His fingers crept beneath my long blonde hair to rub my neck. Guitarists’ hands were wonderful things. So much strength and dexterity. Not to mention the creativity.
I raised a brow. “Are you talking about the bathroom again?”
“The way I figure it, this suite has four rooms,” he said, voice low and husky. Sexy as fuck. My panties grew damper with every word he whispered. “The bedroom, bathroom, dining room, and this formal parlor or whatever the hell the butler called it. Now, given how much we’re paying per night, it would be wrong of us to not make the most of the place.”
“Oh.”

The Rhythm Method is a novella set in the Stage Dive world. It focuses on David and Ev, from the book Lick, whose worlds are rocked by a suprise birth, like something right out of the tv show "I didn't know I was pregnant". Now they find themselves parents completely unexpectedly and, even though they did want to be parents someday, the reality of it really shakes up their lives.
I love David and Ev as a couple and loved them in their own book, as well as the other books in the series. But I really hated the conflict and some of the behavior between them in this book. It seemed immature and made me doubt their love somewhat, especially David behavior and treatment of Ev. Also, while I thought the suprise pregnancy aspect was interesting and fun, I didn't find the baby or birth details realistically written at all. Still, I liked the book in general and enjoyed being back in the Stage Dive world with the other characters I love. However, I did feel like it lacked some of the love and nostalgia I expected to find. However, I am will continue to be a fan of this series and look forward to what Kylie Scott comes up with next.
