Tanner has built his wilderness adventure service on a few key principles: never take unnecessary risks, never put anyone’s life in danger—and never, ever sleep with a client. The arrival of a beautiful new visitor, however, might mean bending the rules.
Two people looking for anything but romance may have just bumped into their soul mates. In the Montana wilds, any misstep can spell danger. Cybil and Tanner just have to decide if they’re brave enough to face their next adventure.
This was a good book! Rushed is the first book in the Adventures in Love series and is Cybil and Tanner's book. Cybil's life is turned on-end when her fiance calls off her wedding right before it was to happen and she is left embarrassed and confused with no answers as to why. She decides to go ahead, all by herself, and go on the couple's adventure retreat that she had planned to go on with her ex. There she meets Tanner, the adventure guide who leads their group hiking and camping. The two feel an instant connection and after spending a lot of time together, Cybil can see that her feelings for Tanner are far beyond what she felt for her ex. She discovers who she really is on the trip and what true love is.
I very much enjoyed this story. I liked Tanner and Cybil a lot. There was lots of couple time on-page, which I love. They had good chemistry and a sexy, sweet, solid relationship with no big blow up or fights. Rushed was an easy, entertaining read. I can see lots of potential for more books in the series and I really look forward to them. Overall, Rushed was a good read! I enjoyed it and was happy that Tanner and Cybil got their HEA. I look forward to whatever Ms. Reynolds comes up with next!
There’s only one thing I want to unwrap this year… my best friend’s roommate.I’ve known Austin for years now, and crushed on him just as long. He’s smart, funny, and hot enough to melt an ice cap.I’d really like to stop fantasizing and finally visit his North Pole.So tonight’s the night.Charlotte and Austin are hosting the costumed Christmas party to end all costumed Christmas parties. Or perhaps the first to start the trend? Regardless, this is my chance to finally confess. This year, I’m going to hang my stocking on Austin’s door… and hope it’s not just his heart I convince to grow three sizes bigger.
Review:
3 stars. Aww. I had no idea that this was not a fun little Holiday novella that had an HEA. I knew it was a prequel to a series, but I thought it was one couple's full story, with another couple in the next book in the series. That was my mistake for not looking into it further. Other than the disappointing cliffhanger, this was a cute story. This is the story of Chloe who has feelings for her best guy friend since college and decides to finally let him know, only to find out it is too late. The writing was a good. The couple was sexy and had chemistry, until the end. The rest of the series is apparantly a serial about Chloe dating a different guy each book before deciding who she really wants. I am not into serials or multiple books about the heroine dating lots of men. But if you are okay with that sort of thing, this is probably a good series. If you have already read the Dating series, then this book is a fun glimpse into Chloe's past and where her story began. Unfortunately, I made a mistake reading this one as it wasn't for me.

Sure, a certain handsome commando is thoughtful, funny, and undeniably hot, but Pepper’s had her heart broken before, and she won’t let it happen again. Not to her or her little girl, even if this hero could melt any woman’s resolve.
Augustus “Auggie” Hero can’t deny his attraction to beautiful, warm-hearted Pepper or how much he wants to make a home with her and her little girl, but Pepper’s mixed signals have kept him away. That is, until Juno decides to play matchmaker. Her efforts finally bring Pepper into his arms, but they expose the danger Pepper is in. To protect Pepper and Juno, Auggie will have to live up to his last name and prove happy endings aren’t just for fairy tales.

Dream Keeper is the fourth book in the Dream Team series and is Pepper and Auggie's book. Pepper is the last single member in her friend group, the Dream Team. She is also a single mom and is reluctant to date anyone because of her eight year old daughter, Juno, and her past bad relationship. Still, Auggie has let her know he is interested. He is also the last single guy in their friend group. But he thinks Pepper is playing games and doesn't understand her reluctance. Juno wants to see her mother happy, though, and knows there is something between her and Auggie, so she sets about to matchmake them. Her plan works and the couple finally gets together. They have some obstacles with lots of family drama on both sides to combat. But they come out together, happy and in love in the end.
While I did enjoy the book in general, it was not my favorite of the series. I found the story a bit too slow with some pacing issues. I liked Auggie and Pepper, but I did feel they were a little lacking in chemistry. They have a slow burn relationship and I had a hard time feeling the burn. I also had a hard time with the dialogue. The men in the book sounded like more like women in the way they talked and the dialogue in general sounded like it was trying to be cool, not realistic. Also, I didn't think Pepper's daughter, Juno, acted 8, more like 11 or 12 years old. As well, there is a ton of OTT family drama, with a religious cult included, that seemed to be added at the end for shock value, unnecessarily. Still, I did like the story. I liked the couple and was happy they got their HEA together. I found the book entertaining and an easy read.
Overall, this is a pretty good book, if not my favorite. Pepper and Auggie were sweet together. I look forward to more from Ms. Ashley in the future.

My name is Carter Sheppard and I actually like Christmas and my Christmas-themed hometown of Reindeer Falls. In fact, when I learn I have to return home in order to collect an inheritance—my uncle’s dog—it puts life into perspective for me. Sure, playing professional baseball is great. But it won’t last forever and every player needs a long-term game plan. And I just found mine. Wrapped up in the feisty, bespectacled package of the town librarian. Unfortunately, she thinks I’m a player in all aspects of the word, but I’ve got a plan to win her over. Starting with a fake engagement…

This was a super cute ending to this "trilogy" within this series. Books four, five and six of the Reindeer Falls series were released this year and are romances between three ladies who are best friends and the three Shephard brothers who are visiting for the holiday season after the death of their uncle. In this book, The Bachelor on the Shelf is Lexi and Carter's story. Lexi is a librarian who loves her elderly neighbor Joe's dog, Rudy, and when he dies she hopes to inherit him. Instead Rudy is left to Joe's nephew, Carter Shephard. Carter is a professional baseball player with a bad reputation as a playboy. He is wanting to get a big endorsement deal, so he has to clean up his act and appear to be settled down. Lexi had a crush on Carter in high school, but he had no idea who she was. Now, Carter sees that Lexi wants Rudy and decides to offer a trade. She will pretend to be his fiance and fake it for the press while Carter is visiting Reindeer Falls, in exchange for him giving her the dog. Of course, pretending to be engaged starts to feel very not-pretend and romance ensues.
I wasn't sure about this book at first. I'm not a big fan of enemies to lovers and this story starts off that way. Carter is kind of a jerk to Lexi and though she doesn't like him after he acts like that to her, she acts kind of silly about how attracted she is to him. There was a lot of talk of chemistry but I didn't really feel it. Still, at a point, Carter (somewhat abruptly) starts to be a nice guy and true feelings develop between them. They grew on me as characters and as a couple, becoming sweeter together as the book went on. I ended up liking them and finding them to be a cute couple. Plus, there was no big break up to get over, which is a plus in my book.
Overall, I enjoyed The Bachelor on the Shelf. Carter and Lexi made a good match in the end. He proves himself to be a good guy. I was glad to see all three couples happy with plans for the future in the epilogue. I have enjoyed this fun Christmas themed series and it has definitely put me in the Holiday spirit. I hope Ms. Aston continues this series every year as it is tons of fun!
