This was a really good read! I read all of the books in this Corp Security Hopetown Kindle World series and this one was my favorite.

This is Caleb and Honor's story. Caleb is a MMA fighter. His family spent summers on the lake in Hopetown growing up. He hung out with a group of boys that lived there year round. Honor lived there year round also, in the house across the street. Caleb didn't know her well, but he thought she was pretty and wanted to get to know her better. But his family stopped coming to the lake and he didn't see her again. Unbeknownst to Caleb, the boys in town were very cruel to Honor and bullied her mercilessly. She grew up and without much choice, is now working cleaning houses in town. Caleb is facing a big fight coming up so he heads back to Hopetown to the house he remembered fondly. He hopes to train there without much distraction. He isn't expecting to run into his old crush Honor, who has been hired to clean and cook for him. But he isn't about to let the opportunity to get to know her better pass by. Honor isn't sure at first whether she can trust him, after all, he was friends with her tormentors years ago. But Caleb pursues her and proves himself as someone she can trust. They soon fall for each other, and while they face a few hurdles with the now-grown bullies, they get their much deserved HEA.

This was a good book with great characters with an awesome connection and lots of depth. I really liked Caleb and Honor. I really liked how Honor was able to overcome her bullies and find happiness. I loved how Caleb really saw Honor, maybe being the first person to have done so in a long time. They were really sweet together. The story was unique and interesting. There were fun cameos from the Hopetown series, too. No OW/ OM drama and it was low angst. This couple only had eyes for each other. It was just a sweet, sexy love story.

Overall, this book had heart, chemistry and sexiness. It was just really good! This was my first book by Ms. Salsbury and won't be the last. I'm intrigued by the characters from her Fighting series that appeared in this book and will have to dig into that series soon. I definitely recommend this book!

SR Watson – Deliverance

Bleu Loren
My life has never been my own. I've always been a rule follower—the obedient girl who always did what she was told. I played the part given to me and got engaged to the man my parents set me up with. He was supposed to be my Prince Charming. He promised me a happily ever after, only he delivered a nightmare instead. Now I'm on the run. No money. No plan. Just freedom. How ironic is it that my desperate escape lands me in a place called Hope Town? I lost hope a long time ago.

Beau Rivers Lair
I'm a manwhore. It's a known fact and exactly how I like it. I make my own rules and live without expectations. Returning to Hope Town to help the woman who raised me with her restaurant meant my past was here to greet me, but I refuse to allow the mirage of possibilities to engulf me a second time around. I don't believe in love or fairy-tale endings. There's lust, and there's screwing. I don't have time for anyone or anything outside of these two principles. There is no hope for me. Accept it or not ... you've been warned!

   Somethin’ Bad by Cat Mason

Tequila can make a woman do somethin’ stupid. Somethin’ bad… After celebrating my birthday with my best friends turns into the most embarrassing night of my life, the last thing I expected was to see him walk into my bakery. The sexy smile on his face lets me know that he has no intention of letting me off the hook either. He doesn’t want an apology or an explanation. He wants me. The way Matt Hudson crashes into my life and bosses me around as if he has known me all my life is frustrating. What’s even worse is the power he has to bring me to my knees with the flash of one his panty-melting smiles. He steals my control without even trying. Makes me want. Makes me need. Even when my life begins to unravel right before my eyes, there is a part of me hoping that the man my friends have dubbed Hunk P.D. may be something good to come out of all my heartache.

This was a good book! I was pleasantly surprised because Cat Mason is a new-to-me author. This is Sienna and Matt's story. Sienna is a bakery owner and has just gotten out of a bad relationship with a cheater. Her good friends decide she needs a night out on her birthday to let loose at the Dirty Dog. After a few too many drinks, she meets Matt outside the ladies restroom. Matt is a cop, working security, but Sienna thinks he is one of the dancers at the bar. In her drunkenness, she hits on him and grabs his "jewels".... before throwing up on him. But Matt is not deterred, instead he is charmed. He pursues Sienna and they begin dating. But someone has it out for Sienna and threatens her. Matt helps protect her and it all works out in the end.

I really liked both Matt and Sienna. They were really cute together and had great chemistry.
The only reason I didn't rate this book higher was because it wasn't anything super memorable or original. Still, it was a really good enjoyable read. There were sweet moments, lots of sexiness, a little suspense, and some funny times too. I really enjoyed the meet-cute. There is insta-feelings but I wasn't bothered by that. There was no pushing away or OW/OM drama. I really enjoyed Sienna's friends and the small town, Hopetown setting, too.

Overall, I very much enjoyed Somethin' Bad! I will definitely have to catch up on Cat Mason's back list!
