SO WILD
by Eve Dangerfield
As a teenager, Samantha DaSilva had two interests: running wild and messing with her posh neighbour. The neighbour moved away—the coward—but the wild kept right on going. At least it did until her hippie father vanished, leaving her in charge of the family tattoo studio. As Sam struggles to keep the business afloat her childhood nemesis returns, taller, blonder and more offensively gorgeous than ever.
As a teenager, the wildest thing Scott Sanderson did was get a crush on Sam DaSilva. When that blew up in his face he moved to London to pursue realistic goals and girls who didn't set fire to his underwear. After unexpected circumstances pull Scott back into Sam's orbit, he's shocked to discover he's still in love with a woman who doesn't own a phone. And who hasn't forgiven a thing.
As Sam and Scott struggle to make sense of their mutual attraction, they confront some of life's biggest questions—can you ever really get over the past? Is it better to be safe or sorry? Is a spanking adequate punishment for putting someone's virginity on eBay?

Loved! This book was so good! Definitely one of my favorites for the year! This is Samantha and Scott's story. They met as children living next door to each other and grew to having a pranking and antagonistic relationship with each other. They did secretly like each other, but their pranking escalates until something terrible happens to cause Scott to leave the country directly after high school. Now, it is years later and Scott has returned home. Samantha is working in father's tattoo studio trying to keep it from going out of business. When they meet again, all of their antagonistic feelings are gone and they have matured in a way that allows them to become friends and more. They soon can see that what happened in the past was not what they thought and that they really have had strong feelings for each other for years. They must allow themselves to get over their history, open up and take a chance on love together.
So Wild was such a great, unique story. I loved both Samantha and Scott. Especially Sam. She was strong woman and while she could have come off as hard or bitchy, but she never did. They are both good, kind people despite they childhood feud. Also, they were very real, easy to identify with characters with understandable insecurities. They had very much an opposites attract vibe going on too. Sam is a tattoo artist covered with ink who has a close family relationship with her father and two sisters. Scott is more straight laced, working in finance, and has a crazy father who he is not close to and causes some problems. Their relationship begins as a slow burn and is maybe a little less kinky than some of Ms. Dangerfield's other books, but I did not mind at all. They're still sexy together and also sweet. Once they got together, there was not too much pushing away, either. I just loved Sam and Scott together. I loved their sense of history and how well they knew and appreciated each other. It was obvious they were meant to be together. I loved the nickname of Galahad for Scott by Sam too. It was sweet and swoony.
Besides Sam and Scott, there was so much other goodness going on in this book. I very much loved the dynamic Sam had with her sisters and the feeling of family. I really enjoyed all of the characters and I hope that Sam's sisters get their own books too. I also loved the atmosphere of the struggling tattoo studio that Sam was trying to save and her job as a tattoo artist.
Overall, So Wild is such a good read. I can really see the growth in Ms. Dangerfield's writing here. This is my favorite book of her's so far. It is so well rounded and well written, as well as nice and long and juicy. I loved the depth, the realness and complicated characters. This book is definitely going on my favorites shelf. I very much hope she turns this into a series. I look forward to more from Eve in the future!
