Duke, I'd like to F... is a sexy historical romance anthology from some of the best authors of the genre. This was a pretty good anthology with enjoyable stories. The stories all felt deliciously long and practically full length novels. There are a several stories I really liked and a few that were just okay to me, so I am rating this book 3.5 stars. In general, I liked this anthology and felt it was worth reading.
Here are my thoughts about the stories:
The Chasing of Eleanor Vane by Sierra Simone- 3.5 stars. This story was pretty good. It was definitely very sexy, but I didn't love the nonmonogamous feel. I also am not a huge fan of a man still grieving his dead wife after so many years. But I still found the story entertaining. I wish it had an epilogue.
My Dirty Duke by Joanna Shupe-3.75-4 stars. This story was quite good. I enjoyed this one a lot and I think it was my favorite of the bunch. I really liked Max and Violet. I was a little turned off that Violet was the pursuer at first, but their relationship soon evened out. They had great chemistry. The couple were sweet and sexy and turned out to feel like equals to me.
An Education In Pleasure by Eva Leigh- Was not able to finish this story. It just wasn't my taste.
Duke For Hire by Nicola Davidson- 3 stars. This story was only okay to me. I didn't really enjoy the writing style. The speech is formal and usual historical speech. But the modern sex-talk slang felt jarring and did not fit in. I didn't really feel love developing along the way, but I did feel the love between the couple at the end. I did find the story entertaining in general, even if it was not my fave.
The Duke Makes Me Feel... by Adriana Herrera- 3.5 stars. I liked this story. Marena was a POC and a strong, smart heroine. I really liked her and Arlo. They had great chemistry and banter. This was a good read, I just wanted more. The story was good, but the ending felt rushed and I wanted an epilogue. I would love if this story was written into a longer, full book.
Overall, this was an enjoyable book with lots of spicy, sexy fun. There is a lot of variety of stories and authors in this anthology so there is something for everyone. It is definitely worth picking up!
