This was an entertaining read. Silver-Tongued Devil is a historical romance set in the Wild West and a prequel to the Rough Rider series featuring the modern characters ancestors. This book is mainly Silas and Dinah's love story, but we also get to see Silas's twin, Jonas, find love as well. I liked both couples and the way their stories played out. I did feel a little behind in that Silas and Jonas both met their ladies off page, before the book begins, and start developing feelings before then. So the book starts in the middle of their relationship development. But this is a historical romance, so the relationships are somewhat slow burn and slow to develop, so we didn't miss too much. I did feel like the book petered out in the end. After the big climax, the relationship momentum is halted and the couples have a lot to resolve. Unfortunately, we do not get to see that firsthand and are only told that they were able to resolve their issues. Still, this was an entertaining read. I enjoyed the setting of a small town in the Wild West and all of the drama with the townsfolk. Silas and Dinah and Jonas and Ruby were both sweet and sexy pairs. It was fun to read about the McKay family origins. Overall, Silver-Tongued Devil was an enjoyable read.
