New Release: Rebel Yule by Kate Meader + Review!

Rebel Yule by Kate Meader is now available!

A holiday entry in the Rookie Rebels series, featuring a player who’s been here from the start

. . .

Chicago Rebels goalie Erik gets his shot at love . . . but first he'll have to figure out what he did to offend the woman he's crushed on forever.

Casey Higgins, assistant to the Chicago Rebels owner, has a smile for everyone who comes into the front office—everyone but goalie Erik Jorgenson. And he has no idea why. For the last year, she’s refused to give him a kind word, and finally, he’s had enough. At the Rebels holiday party he’ll uncover the root of their mysterious conflict and show this woman that goalkeepers do their best work . . . on their knees.

Can a little Yuletide cheer get Erik into Casey’s good graces, warm bed, and frozen heart? Or will he fumble the puck and lose his chance?

Join the Chicago Rebels this holiday season and find out if Erik is as good at saving Christmas as he is at saving goals!

This was a pretty cute read. Rebel Yule is a holiday novella in the Rookie Rebels series and is Erik and Casey's story. Erik is a Rebels hockey player and Casey works in the front office for the team. When Erik met Casey he was attracted to her right away, but she was cold and rude to him. This goes on for several years before he gets the nerve to ask her why she hates him. He is shocked to find that they actually met before and spent the night together, but he didn't recognize her for various reasons. Erik is a Swedish player and is spending the holiday alone and Casey is as well. So Erik and Casey decide to work things out between them and spend the holidays together.

This was an easy, sweet read. I am not really into hate-to-love stories and I really didn't like the way Casey treated Erik like she hated him at first, but thankfully that did get better. Once she and Erik figured out what had gone wrong between them and forgave each other, I enjoyed this story more. Erik was really sweet and smitten with Casey. I liked reading about his Swedish holiday traditions. I was glad the two of them got their HEA as they both deserved it after several lonely years. Overall, this was an enjoyable novella. I look forward to more from the Rookie Rebels series and Ms. Meader in the future.
